Trump’s presidency is fascistic since he has shown disregard to the constitution and has often had intolerant views and practices acting as the Head of State. According to legal experts across the political continuum, Donald Trump’s rhetoric indicates contempt of the First Amendment, which advocates for the rule of law and separation of powers. He has had a record of conduct and statements which have indicated that he is hostile to the Constitution’s fundamental features. Despite being the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense forces, Trump went ahead, on numerous occasions, to give false assertions that his government had secured the largest defense budget authorization ever. Therefore, trump’s presidency is “post-truth” presidency, which is founded on lies and intolerance. He also advocates for Capitalism, which is meant to increase privatization; thus making the wealthy wealthier at the expense of the poor and middle-class.

Donald Trump has been a very disappointing president during his tenure in the United States’ top office. In his campaign manifesto, Trump indicated that he would improve the United State’s economy significantly, which he has not done so far. He has failed to implement tax reforms and deregulation, which would see an increase in wages and improvement of living standards. Moreover, Trump has proved to have total disregard for the Congress, which has the constitutional mandate to regulate presidential powers.

With regards to administrative initiatives, Trump has had several misguided initiatives which have had negative impacts on the U.S foreign relations and domestic welfare. Misguided initiatives include the suspension of refugee programs and the total ban of Syrian refugees as an assurance to business investors as well as a withdrawal for the Paris Agreement on climate change. These initiatives have received numerous criticisms since they violate human rights and promote environmental destruction, respectively. Trump’s only successful initiatives have been in areas of Veteran administrative reforms and immigration reforms.
