Leadership Profile: Compiled/Summary of My Leadership Assessment
According to my leadership assessment, I strongly agree that I like having other people count on me for suggestions and ideas. I also have inspired people in life and I believe that it is a good practice to ask colleagues provocative questions regarding their work. It is very easy for me to compliment others when they achieve excellence. Additionally, many people have imitated my ideas and became successful in their endeavors. According to the leadership experience audit, some of the past leadership experiences include a scenario where I seized the opportunity to take care of a situation on the job without being asked to, I organized study groups while studying and I also organized a group of friends to help out people in need; like the senior citizens who are physically disabled.
The results of my leadership self-assessment also indicate that I have a high or desirable level of self-confidence. Additionally, I have average tendencies in being proactive to issues in life. For me to succeed as a leader, it is proper for me to be more proactive. The leadership self-assessment findings also indicated that I have a strong task orientation. It therefore follows that I am a task-oriented type of leader who mainly focuses on achieving the outlined goals and objectives. I also function well in a multi-cultural environment as I have or would have a strong situational perspective as a manager or a leader.

I always consider myself a hands-on person; I was surprised with the interpretation of the leadership assessment which classified me as a task-oriented person.

In my current position, I can integrate the following topics; readiness for leadership roles, leadership experience audit, my level of self-confidence, Task-Oriented Attitudes and Behaviors and my style of leadership.
Which topics will you use in your future careers?
From the leadership assessment, the topics I would use in my future careers include; Behaviors and Attitudes of a Trustworthy Leader , My Tendencies Toward Being a Proactive Personality and The Dual-Level Transformational Leadership (TFL) Scale.
Which areas of leadership skills/ and or knowledge are your strengths?
Personally, I acknowledge the sincere fact that I portray both weaknesses and strengths. Based on my personal leadership self-assessment, my strengths include:
Ability to contribute to the team’s work
Easy interaction with my team members
Keeping my team members on track
Time management as I pay very close attention to deadlines
Ability to make wise judgments
Which areas of leadership do you want to/ need to work on the most to improve your leadership skills and/ or knowledge?
However, despite my strengths, some of the areas that I need to work on include; (1) my desire to achieve perfection, (2) working effectively under pressure, (3) quick decision-making skills, (4) being straight forward when criticizing my team members and (5) accepting liability despite the outcome of the current situation.
Leadership Action Plan to develop my Weaknesses
To be an effective leader, I should guide my team members, subordinates and followers in the right direction by influencing them into performing all outlined and assigned activities. I plan to use the following leadership styles in improving my weaknesses; Laissez-Fair, Democratic and Task Oriented Leadership styles. As a task-oriented leader, I will be able to practically guide my team members towards achieving perfection. As a Laissez-Fair leader, I will be independent and conservative; this trait in many scenarios will help me to work effectively under pressure and in making quick organizational decisions. Finally, the democratic leadership style will help me in sharing and treating everyone as an equal. This will be vital in helping me to be straight forward and accepting liability during times of crisis.
