Understanding human behavior is significant if you want to understand international relations. International relations is often considered a human activity where people from more than one country, whether in groups or individually interact (Arreguín-Toft, 2013). Indirect communications and face-to-face contact are required for international relations to take place. IR tries to explain the interactions of people whose behavior comes from one nation and aims towards members of other states. It attempts to explain the behavior that happens across state boundaries, the relationships created in which behavior is an essential part as well as the institutions that control all those interactions, for example, private institutions, non-governmental, state as well as intergovernmental.

Understanding human behavior is useful if you want to succeed in international relations because studying human behavior is important for anyone to create positive relationships with other people and avoid unnecessary conflict. International relations aim to develop positive relations with other states and avoid conflict (Arreguín-Toft, 2013).
