Generally, developing a Christian world view is essential for every follower of Christ. This is because it influences the way we assess and interact with the fallen world. This is because the Christian view of things has the stamp of reason and reality, capable of standing the test of history and experience. Basically, Christians should have a stability of thought regarding all aspects of life, based on the Great Commandment that calls for a wholehearted devotion to God. It is also important to realize that the Christian world view is comprehensive, influencing every faculty of life. The Christian world view can also be described as a biblical world view, as most Christians view life the lens of the Word of God. Essentially, the Christian world view holds that the Bible is God’s inspiration that is generally infallible. As such, Christians focus on practicing what the Bible teaches. Although man was given the role of exercising dominion by God, the effects of sin have drastically limited it (Genesis 1:28). As a result, Jesus died on the cross to help us live in right relationship with God and have eternal life through Him.
God
According to the Christian world view, God is the eternal being that created and preserves all things. God has several characteristics. The Bible states that God is love (1John 4:8). Christians generally believe that it is because of God’s love for humanity that He planned for our salvation through Jesus Christ. God loved the world so much that he gave His son, Jesus, so that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life (John 3:16). Thus, love is one of the most important attributes of God, based on the Christian world view. Another characteristic of God is that He is spirit (John 4:24). The Christians believe that the essence of God is immaterial, and that He does not have a physical make-up. Another important characteristic of God is that He is merciful. Christians believe that God is merciful and slow to anger (Exodus 34:6). The Christian world view also holds that God is holy. As such, sin and God cannot go together. Thus, Christians are generally expected to lead holy lives, free of sin. God created heaven and earth and everything in it. This implies that man was also created by God.

Humanity
According to the Christian world view, man was created in the image of God. However, humankind has fallen from his original state of innocence and became slave to sin. The disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden brought negative results that endure to date (Esqueda, 2014). One of such consequences of sin is the entry of death into the world. The sin of Adam and Eve had far reaching implications. For instance, every human being born since Adam has a tendency towards sin. This implies that humans are naturally sinful. This is emphasized in the New Testament where Paul states that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”. The root cause of human problem is disobedience and sin. Because of man’s disobedience, he fell into sin, leading to the negative consequences that have befallen the entire human race. Although man was created faultless, the disobedience and sin robbed him eternal life. As man was originally created in the image of God, he was designed to live eternally. However, the entry of sin rendered him mortal, as he had to pay the price of sin, death.
Jesus
According to Christian world view, Jesus is one individual with two natures; a divine nature and a human nature. This means that Jesus is both fully God and fully human. This means that Jesus had the power of God. Jesus died to save human kind from damnation. Basically, the Bible states that the wages of sin is death. As such, man had to die for committing sin in the Garden of Eden. Since Jesus was God reincarnate, he had the ability to save man from the bondage of sin where he was destined to die an eternal death (Rutledge, 2015). It is important to realize that the identity and work of Jesus is significant for the Christian world view. While man was sinful, Jesus was without sin. Jesus was also God and had the power to forgive sin. As such, His blood was able to pay the price of sin that is death. By accepting to die, He took the death penalty from human kind. Basically, it was God alone who could save man from the consequences of sin. Therefore, Jesus could save the entire human race from death because He was God.
Restoration
According to the Christian world view, the solution to the human problem is Jesus. Jesus offered Himself as a living sacrifice to save humanity from the deadly consequences of sin. After disobeying God by committing sin in the Garden of Eden, the relationship between man and God broke. This meant that there was no link between man and God and that man was left for death. Having committed sin, man had to die, as God had commanded it. Because death was the ultimate consequence of sin, Jesus offered himself to die in place of man because His blood had the power of redemption. This is because Jesus himself was sinless. It is important to realize that it is by the grace of God that man was given a second chance. Essentially, God is merciful and his grace is overwhelming. The salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Hittinger, 2014). Therefore, God creates in His children faith Jesus. Therefore, grace and faith play a critical role in salvation. This is because no man was righteous to deserve salvation but it is by God’s grace that they are saved. Additionally, one has to have faith in Jesus the savior in order to receive salvation. Basically, the transformation of self and society occurs when our behaviors and thoughts are guided by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Therefore, the renewal of the mind through the Holy Spirit is critical to the transformation of an individual and society.
Analysis
There are several benefits of Christian belief. Firstly, Christian belief offers reconciliation, forgiveness, and freedom. Having sinned, Christian belief helps get rid of troubled conscience and provides freedom from wrong thoughts about God. This provides immense freedom in real life as one can rest assured that he or she is fully forgiven by God. Christian belief also enables has to forgive others just as God has forgiven us. Additionally, Christians believe that they have a reliable friend, Jesus. Therefore, even in the face of rejection, one can have a sense of worth because they believe that Jesus is on their side. Through prayer, one can have intimacy with God, even to the extent of referring to Him as Father. Basically, Christian belief provides significant comfort to believers in real life, as one can live a life free of fear. Christian belief also gives a true purpose in life. A Christian who believes in Jesus will have an extraordinary aim in life; to know God and his son better and wait upon His promises. By practicing God’s love, Christians can live in harmony with fellow men. Most importantly, Christian belief helps in keeping the body and mind healthy (Weber & Pargament, 2014). This is because one is able to live a life free of worries. Basically, not everything is clear about Christianity. For instance, the belief that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one is generally confusing. One is left to wonder as to how three entities can be one at the same time. Christianity, as a world view, influences an individual’s thinking and behavior. This is because one begins to think in the way of Jesus Christ. One can also live in harmony with neighbors even when he is wronged because he is quick to forgive.
Reflection
Generally, Christianity has influenced my perspective about life in general. Initially, I thought it is right to be cruel to someone who has offended you. However, I have learned to love my enemies just like I love myself. This is because God loved us even when we had wronged him. Instead of punishing us with death, God sent his only son to die and save us from eternal death. Therefore, I strive to forgive those who wrong me in order to demonstrate to them how sweet Jesus is.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Christian worldview is a comprehensive framework through which people view all aspects of life. God is the creator of everything in the universe and controls everything in it. While Adam and Eve were created in the image of God, they sinned and took on a sinful nature. This meant that the entire human race was destined for death. Fortunately, God demonstrated His mercy by sending Jesus to redeem mankind from sin. It was through Christ’s death that all mankind was saved from the bondage of sin. It was through God grace that man was saved. Essentially, man had no righteousness but God was merciful enough. It is through our faith in Jesus that we can be saved by grace.
