It is the third section that needs to be discussed in the dissertation. The theoretical framework contains a theory or theories that writer believes guide the research and can easily explain the relationship present in the variables of the study. The section provides the writer with the opportunity to analyze the foundations of the issues or question at hand and further provides a body of knowledge that can well explain what the study is trying to fulfill. The section ensures that one can not only identify appropriate theories but that these theories are analyzed and their connection to the question under research explained. To a great extent, the theoretical framework sections helps set an appropriate and knowledgeable foundation for the entire research.
