The Meaning of Myth and a Description of Various Functions of Myths 

Myth is explained as a story that is formulated using a set of symbols that represent certain information regarding people and the universe at large. One of the roles played by myths is the mystical role in which various myths are used to depict the suffering that an individual might attract if he or she disobeys the spirits. Myths also play a cosmological role in society by attempting to explain the origin of the universe and its creation. Myths are used to shape the psychological alignment of the people sharing the myth.

The indecent treatments of the Aboriginals by the dominant religions depict the self-centered nature of religions. Nevertheless, the actions depict that religions are selfish institutions that give people misguiding information to control them. Religions are depicted as competitive institutions that can engage in fabrications of lies to establish dominance over other competing religions. The ill-treatment of the indigenous people by dominant religions project religions as strategic projects that are developed to help in enforcing control over a certain group of people. 

The Reasons Why Hinduism Has High Number of Religious Responses Compared to Other Dominant Religions 

One of the reasons why Hinduism attracts varied religious responses is the polytheist nature of the religion that increases areas of controversy. Besides, Hinduism has high religious responses because of the many religious rituals that characterize religion. Nevertheless, Hinduism attracts a high number of religious responses because it is one of the oldest religions in the world, and the phenomenon has allowed critics to formulate varied responses towards religion. Hinduism has high number of religious responses because of its unique doctrine on life after death.
