Introduction 

Walmart Inc., which is one of the biggest retail stores in the world, is the one that has been chosen for this assignment. Walmart is among the best examples of effective large-scale human resource management since it has the most significant number of employees in consideration to the other stores. It is essential to recognize the fact that Walmart is one of the biggest companies in the world especially in terms of business value, organizational size as well as financial performance (Collings, Wood, & Szamosi, 2018). 

Human Resource Programs (Policies) 

The company hugely invests time and resources in the HRM department since it is the one responsible for most activities in the business needs as well as expectations. The effectiveness of its programs in regards to the human resource is designed in a way that contributes positively to the high performance among the employees (Song, 2018). The human resource department is the one in charge of various activities around the company, such as corporate culture and organizational structure, the recruitment process, as well as the selection of employees. It additionally plays the vital role of training and retaining the employees.

Hypothesize the Changes That Require Improvement 

Following a familiar scenario published by the CNN business news, the company is expected to lose even more of its profits if they do not change their hourly payments to their employees. It is clear that the company announces fake pay rise only to pose a public stunt when it is actually not true. For a company that is earning huge profits on a yearly basis, then it needs to pay the workers as much as they deserve (Jackie, 2016). The change readiness policy was aimed at benefiting themselves by showing the public that they are doing their best. The company needs to change this low wages to their hard working employees in order to avoid losing them to their competitors and if not well addressed they will continue to close more stores and leave people jobless. As much as the company wants to make profit it must consider its employees and pay them what they rightfully deserve. 

Conclusion 

In order for Walmart to prove that they are ready for change, the company’s CEO went ahead to announce that they will be providing job opportunities to military spouses since he said that they mostly struggle to get steady jobs. Walmart claimed they the doors are open for them and this was done to prove that they had taken the readiness for change action to give back to the society. Through improving the human resource department, the company CEO said that the company is ready for them.
