Identify and reflect on your thoughts about a few common value-laden issues that clients bring to counseling, such as; LGBT concerns, family values, gender-role identity issues, religious and spiritual values, abortion, sexuality, and end-of-life decisions. As the population in the world becomes diverse, the number of special and different groups is on the rise. The contemporary world addresses critical societal issues such as LGBT rights, sexuality, and gender equality aiming to achieve equality and equity. The various special groups in society have rights that need to be protected. There is a need to respect people's own decisions and where they chose to belong.

From the previous statement, identify 2 populations (LGBT, spiritual, religious..etc), then Identify ways to handle these conflicts in the helping relationship. Conflicts are common among many groups in society. Conflicts can be between two groups or between individuals within a group. The main objective of helpers is to help the groups to believe in their values and resolve the existing conflict. The LGBT group is one of the groups in the society. The process of resolving conflict must appreciate their existence and their rights while ensuring they are kept free from discrimination and oppression. In religious groups, people have the right to make decisions about the religions they want to associate with.

Name two significant court cases on value conflicts. Ward v. Wilbanks and Keeton v. Anderson-Wiley (Corey & Corey, 2020)

What are the dangers of imposing values, and what is the importance of ethical bracketing? Clients have a responsibility to choose the values they want while discarding the values they find undesirable to them (Corey & Corey, 2020). Imposing values has a detrimental impact on clients and special teams. Groups have their own values and beliefs. Helpers should endeavor to help these groups using their own values rather than forcing them to take on other values or change their beliefs. Imposing values destroys self an individual or group's self-worth.
