Facts
Human development is a complex process involving various stages of development. Owing to this, there is a study geared towards such learning known as developmental psychology. In addition to this, other elements pertaining to such growth are existent. Some of them include: Socio-emotional, physical and cognitive development. On the other hand, expert researchers have established some methods to be used in studying human development, namely: the cross-sectional, longitudinal and cross-sequential method. Besides this, some of the observable physical traits in individuals are genetically inherited and this can be explained by the DNA and Chromosome elements characteristic of all individuals. Besides this, various occurrences are likely during conception. These are a Zygote, or multiple instances of monozygotic and dizygotic twins.
Analysis
Developmental psychology is a field that deals with the examination of physical and social emotional change. One of the common studies in this case is the social emotional development which is different from the physical development since the former is concerned with social behaviors experienced in the course of relationships, whereas the latter is related to maturation of an individual occurring in a predictable pattern. This further differs from cognitive development which involves changes occurring in memory and decision making which vary depending on the age of an individual. In reference to methods used to study human development, it is apparent that the cross-sectional and longitudinal methods are different since the latter is focused on examining a single sample of people over a prescribed duration whereas the former studies individuals of different ages over a single time period. Cross-sequential method is also different from both approaches since it studies people of different ages over time. DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid which offers instructional development to cells. It is composed of two differing molecules; the chromosome and gene. The latter is different since it has specified segments of DNA as opposed to the former which bears inherited threadlike structures from DNA. The initial stage of development may lead to development of a Zygote which results in formation of a single cell after fusion of an egg and sperm cell which contrasts from the monozygotic and dizygotic occurring in multiples. The monozygotic is also different since it occurs after a single egg is inseminated contrary to the dizygotic involving insemination of two eggs by two separate sperms.

Impacts
The study of human development is likely to enable individuals understand how people are conceived and also the various stages existent in the course of their development. Such knowledge is resourceful since it can enable people to establish any challenges existent among various personalities in the course of their existent as well as the elements that are likely to pose risks to the development of individuals.
Restatement
It is apparent that social emotional development is different from physical emotional development depending on the nature of advancement between various individuals. Cognitive development on the other hand is concerned with the changes occurring in the memory of a person. It can also be observed that various methods are existent in the study of development among individuals. These involve cross-sectional, longitudinal and cross-sequential approaches. Finally, conception can occur in two ways; either by formation of a zygote or my multiple means involving the monozygotic and dizygotic.
