Q1

Public leaders and citizens are always skeptical about each other's abilities to solve problems, especially on issues that require vast knowledge or professional competence. Ideally, in numerous public forums, leaders or citizens have a general feeling that a person with no experience or education per se in a specific subject or field is unfit to present ideas to offer solutions to problems. The essence of skepticism is entirely based on enhancing a meaningful and productive relationship between people. Furthermore, the fact that the majority of the public leaders and citizens have a sense of feeling the humanity in the present society live in a more democratic and civilized world means that their expectations are based on requisite capacities and competencies to fix a problem.

The significant causes of skepticism are based on the level of mistrust about each other’s capacities to be part of the solution to societal problems. In this context, a person's ability to solve problems is based on his/her level of education and expertise. For instance, it is conceptualized that it is inconsistent with engaging a professional, say a nurse, to address a political rally. Another significant cause of skepticism is based on the level of ranked ideas and experience in the field. In this context, a public leader would feel uncomfortable when his/her junior proves to be quite competitive on matters of offering remedial solutions to potential challenges and problems within organizations. A leader would be skeptical about his/her junior's abilities to solve problems based on the issue of conflict of interest. Another potential cause of skepticism is the expectation of the public or rather the targeted audience who depend on the solution. In this case, people would trust an individual who comprehensively understands the problems and can offer numerous alternative solutions.

The establishment of a solid platform to address the issue of skepticism that continues to draw rift between and among citizens and public leaders is inevitable. Hence, a conclusive understanding of the expectations of the modern society that calls for competency-based arguments demystifies the platform of addressing the issue of skepticism. It is quite imperative to note that offering solutions to problems that people face in society do not depend on age or the level of ranked ideas. An individual who is in his/her right status of mind and has the requisite professional competence and intellect can offer affirmative solutions to fix people's problems. Additionally, a civilized world expects to shape a highly competitive human capital through quality education in a bid to mitigate the risks that might arise from ignorance and skepticism.

Q2

Given the context regarding the characteristics of an adult-adult relationship, it is quite imperative to note that giving people a chance to tell and share their stories establishes the essence of good participation. When an adult is given the opportunity to tell their story either in a public forum or any other setting, there exists a higher chance that such a person would learn from the discussion. Ideally, an adult-adult relationship depicts the interest of each and every individual with regards to the presentation of public opinion as a platform for offering solutions to people's problems. Another significant characteristic of an adult-adult relationship is the provision of choices in all public participation. In this regard, a person does not have the foundation to sell his/her policy but to make a contribution based on what he/she thinks would become part of the solution and the best interests of all attendees in a public forum. The essence of giving participants a sense of political legitimacy also emerges as fundamental characteristics of an adult-adult relation. In this case, an individual’s contribution matters and is accorded the requisite attention by all the participants.

It is essential to incorporate the characteristics of an adult-adult relationship in public participation based on the fact that it establishes an idealistic platform for policy-making and development of ideas that plays an essential role in offering solutions to challenges and problems that people face in the society. The incorporation of adult-adult characteristics into public participation helps people learn from one another and makes everyone feel that their stories matter and are equally important. For instance, the provision of choices in public participation gives people a chance to decide for themselves on what they think is valuable and would boost their lifestyles by a significant margin. Additionally, the decision to support each other in a variety of ways, especially in public participation, promotes a culture of togetherness and a sense of unity for all communities.

What I would do to integrate the characteristics of an adult-adult relationship into public participation is to advocate for the concern of making participation easy and convenient for all adults. It is true beyond every reasonable doubt that adults do have pressure on their time based on the daily routine challenges. Hence, making the participation easy and convenient for them would enhance a culture of togetherness, and this gives adults hope and living to see the next day. Consequently, the fact that adults value participation opportunities and making participation easy and convenient would make every adult believe in the value and the importance of their contributions in public participation. Additionally, making the participation enjoyable by embracing the value of fun and happiness for everyone would make me easily integrate the characteristics of an adult-adult relationship into public participation. Making public participation enjoyable and pleasant calls for the use of games and fun in a bid to make adults have a feeling of gratitude by telling their stories.

Q3

The primary goal of the war on poverty that calls for changing the nature of public participation was quite effective and very efficient, especially in urban areas. It is quite imperative to note that in the previous decades, the principal purpose of public participation was to tell stories with no sense of reasoning on the essentiality of improving each other's' lifestyle. Public participation, especially in the urban setting needs to focus on ideas that advocate productivity of the human capital and giving relevant education on the steps a person needs to stage in a bid to register a progressive economic growth. Additionally, I think the war on poverty was successful in achieving the goal of changing the nature of public participation not entirely on issues of building intellectual development for humanity but also the establishment of positivistic business culture. In this case, every person stands a better chance to get business ideas on public forums, especially on how to put the available resources into productive use for the purpose of economic gains.

The goal regarding the war on poverty is the provision of such information as people want to change their thoughts of understanding the perception of poverty. In this connection, public participation gives every individual a chance to realize that poverty is in mind, and the provision of relevant and legit information establishes a platform for stamping out the phenomenon of poverty. Changing the nature of public participation enables people to access employment opportunities in whatever area of expertise that defines the capacity of an individual. Public forums are regarded as an ocean of information that awards every personnel the opportunity to understand the dynamics of the economy and come up with a solution to fixing the societal problem while making income.

In conclusion, I think that the war on poverty was successful in changing the nature of public participation based on the fact that members of the public are given a chance to access information regarding the relevant career choices that are competitive are consistent with the ever-changing economy. Ultimately, the presentations or range of policy choices in numerous public participations are intended to inform the citizens about the steps being taken by their governments to address the issue of poverty that strike several nations in today’s world.
