Reincarnation is the aspect where when a living being dies they start a new life in form of another body. It is also referred to as rebirth or transmigration of which is known to be practiced in the Samsara doctrine where it is part of the cyclic existence. The Indian religions also practice it in their tenet which are Sikhism, Jainism, Hinduism and Buddhism. Sanskrit believe that karma means deed. It is a law in which cause and effect where a deed leads to its fruits. Despite being a law there is no form of punishment or reward that bounds it. Rebirth is where a dead person is believed to have started a new life after death. Rebirth and Karma relate due to the fact that they both rely on action. In rebirth, a person’s action will determine the form they take in the next life while karma is where a person’s deed determines their fruits (Wells, 1993).

Through this understanding, it is clear to say that a person’s way of life determines the result of their life and after. Definitely, it would be better to do things differently by ensuring that every action one partakes in leads to good and not harm. The reason is to ensure that the karma they get is that of positive fruits and in rebirth the type of form one takes is that of good. A person that does well in the society is always meet with good as a result and therefore it well encouraged for people to do good in the society. After death a person takes up a form according to one’s life while living. Therefore believing in reincarnation can make a very critical impact in one’s life making it important for them to live a pure life that is exemplary in the society by doing well (Wells, 1993).

Some westerners are known to embrace the culture of reincarnation. The reason as to why they embrace it is because it is there to guide their actions. Believing in it acts as a guiding factor because no one wants to be reborn in a bad nature and therefore they have to check their life in order to secure a good form after death. There are those who do not believe in it and it is because they assume that it is a myth and there is no life after death. Such an assumption helps them live their life according to their wants (Mills & Slobodin, 1994).
