The Adrelian therapy is of importance in that it helps an individual to realize his/her hidden potential. It is geared towards the creation of therapeutic relations that are; practical, co-positive and encouraging. The counselors, in this case, help their clients to do a deep exploration of their hidden private logic and unique potentials (Alexander, 2017). The reason for this is to increase the understanding of the clients and have them challenge the normal patterns of behaviors. In the process, individuals will have enough information, confidence, and soundness of making decisions and choosing one option over another.

The adrelian therapy is an education process which includes; insight, dialogue, re-orientation, encouragement and the enabling process of boosting a person’s involvement in the society’s affairs. In this school of thought, individuals can make more sound decisions when they are in the position to (Christopher, 1996). Decisions made by people when they are sober are more likely to be predictable. It recognizes the fact that people are capable of making informed decisions and that the decisions made have been thought of. Adrelian therapy also recognizes that many people have that potential but their power to make decisions have been limited by negative forces. Some of these forces include negativity of attitude, lack of self-confidence, internal and external fear, lack of boldness, lack of information about one’s potential, skills, and power, among others. If more people understood themselves and their potential, they would be in a better position to act more predictably and responsibly (Christopher, 1996). The model does not stop at recognizing and understanding that but goes ahead and offer the help to people to understand their inner potential and hidden strength and desires.

The model above is largely similar to the relational paradigm which offers a rational explanation for understanding the social and economic choices normally made by people. In this model, most people make decisions based on the preferences calculations and weighing of options. This model recognizes the ability of people to make informed decisions that are predictable. Like the Adrelian therapy model, this paradigm recognizes and appreciates the rationality of the process of decision making (Siddiqui et al., 2015) . For example, for a person to choose between A, B, and C, a person has prior knowledge about each item, which will base their decision on a specific choice. The ability to choose a specific choice will be determined by the amount of value and benefit that each item presents. For example, if choice A is more valuable than choice B and choice B is more valuable than C, then any individual would pick choice A, which is the most valuable of the three choices. Individual preferences basing on the benefits that would be accrued on a specific item is what drives the logic behind the relational paradigm and the Adrelian therapy.

The only difference between the Adrelian therapy and the relational paradigm is that the Adrelian therapy recognizes the importance of the fact that not all people know what lies within them, and that determines the choices they make in life (Siddiqui et al., 2015). The therapy, therefore, goes an extra mile in bringing the hidden potential out to be exploited. Helping people realize their fears are making them more courageous and making people realize the source of their weaknesses is making them stronger. The combined action of the two schools of thought would make them even better because they will complete themselves, creating a better and wholesome person.
