It took me three years to realize what a considerable influence my friend, Anna, has been on my life. Her extensive engagement in communal projects has really changed my perspective of life. I view her as an influential person, not only for awakening the philanthropic interests in me but also widening my comprehension and of a variety of topics. Her idealistic personality has been a refreshing force in my development, an active contributor to my community's needs.
Anna has been influential to me in several ways. She consistently shared her enthusiasm for travel, which led to my exploration of several travel destinations, a factor I would not have considered before. Moreover, her interest in communal activities drove my interest in volunteering at a local shelter for the homeless. Her commitment and passion for enhancing her drawing skills also motivated me to be more engaged in my ability to dance. More considerably, while discussing family complications, she was able to convince me of why spending more time with my siblings (despite our differences) was more beneficial. Generally, her spirit and drive have influenced me to be more adventurous and hardworking in all that I do. Hence, my belief is that power is held by those that dare to grow and not just those that possess authority (Tedeschi, 2017).

My circle of influence is made up of a diverse group of friends. As we all have our unique talents, my adventurous nature has helped me encourage them to be more open to new opportunities and explore varying aspects of life. Recently, I convinced them to join me on a trip to an art gallery, to enhance their understanding of the art world. There have been no efforts to add more people to my circle of influence. This is because I believe that my existing circle corresponds to the current developmental phase I am in. However, I am open to changes in the future as inclusion is a structured channel to power (Tedeschi & Bonoma, 2017).
