I am convinced and believe that I deserve to be awarded this scholarship as I am a hard working student. I will fully commit myself to utilize any opportunity that arises from this scholarship. Furthermore, I am not only concerned with my academics, but I also volunteer in community work so as to improve other people's quality of life.
Some of the voluntary activities include blood donation. I was a science and mathematics teacher to students from my neighborhood. In my former schools, I used to teach other students, something which helped me build up my self-esteem, confidence and good relationship with other people. I may not have held a senior rank in my local club of community work known as Adarsha Samaj, but I used to conduct cleanliness projects such as garbage collection, one way of ensuring a healthy society.

I believe that education is the only route to success. I try to match my education passion with my willingness to assist other people. I have encountered a lot of obstacles in my life most of which I have managed to overcome. Being the eldest son in my family requires that I handle most if not all of my family’s responsibilities. My brother was diagnosed with severe kidney diseases, and my father is illiterate, and so he has been unable to make our dreams come true. Since I got in Japan, I have been working so hard to support my family financially and every way that I can. I had to give up my ambitions of becoming an engineer to fulfill my brother's desires, and soon he will be graduating with a degree bachelor’s degree in software engineering.
I have had a lot of challenges and struggles in my entire academics' journey. However, my family released from the responsibility of paying my school fees. Besides being hardworking, I am intelligent too and used to top in all classes that I attended. For this reason, I got full sponsorship of my academic needs. I was also active and good and excellent in extracurricular activities such as athletics where I won numerous medals for my exemplary performance. I could emcee most of the school events and activities such as parents’ day meetings. I won numerous prizes in various competitions such as poem recitation, essay writing, spelling competitions among others.
I still have the same ambitions and aspirations of becoming a civil engineer, and I believe you have a remarkable institution that offers education to the less privileged students like me. Help me move a step further in my life. Being awarded this scholarship will give me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams, help improve other people’s living standards as well serve them better in my line of duty as a civil engineer. This scholarship will as well help me concentrate on my studies and develop myself career-wise. I will prove that I not only have what it takes to succeed in life but also become an outstanding engineer.
