How is sleep related to psychology? How can you relate this information to your life? Why?
Sleep is vital for our memories and our overall psychological wellbeing. When we sleep enough, we consolidate both our physical and intellectual memories. What is more, there is a close link between lack of sleep and stunted brain growth and inhibited cognitive functions. In the same breath, lack of adequate sleep can result in psychosis, depression, mental illness and in the worst case scenarios, death. I appreciate the timeliness of this information for I spend a lot of time on my computer playing computer games. As such, I mostly sleep for less than three hours a day. I believe this is the reason why I feel exhausted most of the times.
