The American Revolution refers to the revolt by American loyalist in the 13 Great Britain colonists in North America that resulted in the independence of America. Tensions between the Britain colonies in North America and the Britain government led to the revolt (History.com, n.d). Thus, this paper looks in depth at the underlying reasons why the American Revolution occurred

The American Revolution happened due to a series of events. Initially, the citizens of the North America states under Britain colony felt that the deserved better treatment and similar rights to those of the colonist. In contrast, Britons thought that the citizens of their protectorate were meant to serve the government (ThoughtCo, n.d). The colonist Englishmen and the protectorate citizens from North America thus conflicted creating the basis of the American Revolution.

Also, there was widespread slavery all over America including the 13 Britain colonies in North America. The Americans thereof saw what it meant to be subjected to the rule of others and understood the distinction between independent and dependence. In the 1770's, American began to realize their differences with the Britain society considering themselves a free society as opposed to the aristocratic Europeans. Therefore, Americans sought to be the republicans they though themselves to be (Digital History, 2016).

Lastly, economic frustrations such the requisitioning of resources, unfair taxes and the grand currency manipulation also pushed the Americans to desire freedom from the Britain government. American loyalties often had to list their economic aggravations within a larger argument of power (The Wilson Quarterly, 2012). Ultimately, the frustrations became intolerable for the Americans pushing them to rebel.

In conclusion, the American Revolution occurred as a result of several incidences that made Americans in North America Britain colonies realize that they were unequally and unjustly treated. The many conflicts and elements of frustrations in the Britain congress way of governance led the American to see their differences and desire freedom.
