Taymor's movie, ‘ The Tempest’ is one of the art pieces of work with great caption and creativity. Watching Taymor's version of the Tempest changed my overall perception of the original story. This was enhanced by some of the significant changes that ignited a modest and compelling sense. For instance, the main role of a character known as Prospero has been intelligently recast as a female Prospero. I felt like this incredible change added a whole new dimension to the video and the character himself. I initially misunderstood this fact before realizing its practical sense. After all, the women of independent power and wealth were usually accused of sorcery in patriarchal societies. Therefore, having the magical Prospero to act as a female is not such a big deal. Apart from this, other aspects were slightly changed to fit the setting. What I like most is that the setting, the themes, and the language used in the original play have remained intact.

The artistic prowess applied by Taymor depicts a form of creativity of its caliber. The entire sense of creativity is inherent in the choice of characters as well as the mish-mash of styles and tones that make the video to feel over the entire place. For instance, the scenes whereby Russell Brand and Alfred Molina play the comedy rogues bring out a total misfire. The only tricky question is whether the masterpiece is a complete adaptation of the original piece. The fact is that every single aspect cannot work as intended. Nevertheless, Taymor should take credit for her groundbreaking sense of creativity. It can be ascertained that the ‘ Tempest’ is a solidly entertaining movie with colorful, vibrant, and incredible performances from Jones and Mirren. They are the two outstanding characters who enhance the attractive nature of the play.
