Workplace violence is a common phenomenon in modern working conditions. There are several types of workplace violence namely; criminal intent violence, customer or client workplace violence, worker to worker violence, ideological violence, and domestic violence. Criminal intent violence is perpetrated by the people who are not related to the workplace, and their main intention is to loot or get other material benefits. In customer or client workplace violence, the perpetrator is a customer or a client of the establishment. Ideological violence is based on political, religious or differences in opinion between an organizations while domestic violence involves two partners who are working in one enterprise. This paper focuses on criminal-intent workplace violence and the possible solutions to it.
Criminal intent violence, as stated earlier is done by people who are not related to the organization (Rugala, Casteel, Bixler & Holbrook, 2018). The main intention for such violence is to rob and get any material gain from the act. An excellent example is the robbing of a bank by a group of men whose main aim is to get the money and have no relation to the bank. It is also evident when looters attack workers who leave work late and are known to carry expensive material for any organization. There are several solutions to this problem.

First, the premises should employ qualified personnel to guard the place and the assets that are contained in it. In doing so, the people who work in the site are protected from any external violence. The personnel should be able to account for all the people who get in and out of the premises. They should also deal with any suspicious people who may try to access the premises, yet they do not work there. The workplace should also have proper facilities that ensure the protection of such violence such as fences and gates. Another helpful feature is the installation of closed-circuit television cameras that help monitor all the activity that happens. The place should ensure that all the entry points are manned, and all the activity that occurs within the area is well accounted for. Personnel who are known to carry expensive material for the company or credentials that access valuable company resources should be offered with additional protection such as escorts whenever they are outside the protection in the workplaces (Riedel & Welsh, 2015).
Avoiding any sources of workplace violence is essential. This is crucial in the making of proper working conditions. The workers in one company should also treat each other with respect and care. This will avoid worker to worker violence. The leaders should be willing to help those under them and should not overburden them (Mathew 23:1-39, King James Bible). Criminal intent workplace violence can be controlled by the employment of adequate personnel and adequate facilities that help in protecting their workers. In doing this, the workplace is set up to optimum working conditions and even gives the company a better chance of success.
