In the global context, there a wide range of inquiries. They vary with respect to their application. The most effective and useful type of inquiry is a narrative inquiry. From a general point of view, a n arrative inquiry is can be differentiated from other forms in regard to its usability of visual representations, spoken, and written elements (O'Grady, Clandinin, & O'Toole, 2018). The three components are combined to form an elaborate storyline based on a given scenario. They play the role of developing aspects to help in the narration of an area under study. A different perspective may be used in analyzing a n arrative inquiry.

The consideration of the processes used in narrative research proves it is a type of research method, as it elaborates a scenario. In other words, narrative research s a form of using real-life measures, to define associated problems (Barkhuizen, Benson, & Chik, 2013). In most of the cases, such kinds of research assume a linear approach, which uses learned experiences to support available evidence and direct the reaching of constructive conclusions. It defines the greatest aspects of presentations, as it uses qualitative analysis to collect and analyze data. Additionally, narrative research appreciates the use of collaborative dialogic aspects, to guide linguistic elements, and achieve subjective quality findings and conclusions.

Ways of Collecting Relevant Information in A Narrative Research

At times, the understanding of an individual becomes a challenging aspect. It demands the need to have the right mechanism and approach to guide the process and obtained the required information. The collection of relevant information from an individual may best be obtained through the use of narrative research (McMullen & Braithwaite, 2013). Essentially, there are three main approaches, which may be used to gather the required information concerning an individual. They include the likes of social constructivism, the use of narrative knowledge, and the application of the paradigmatic mode of thinking.

Narrative knowledge is an information gathering perspective, useful in the creation and construction of an individual. The relevance of the approach is the development of a lucid understanding of the complexities and ambiguities based on an individual (Kuklewicz & King, 2018). The second way is the use of a paradigmatic line of thinking. It is an effective approach of gathering information about an individual, as uses empirical perspectives, to develop logical proof and reasonable lines of thinking. The last way is the use of social constructivism. It is an approach of deriving an individual’s objective truth, to understand an individual’s reality. Thus, the three ways are effective approaches to gathering relevant information of an individual, through the use of narrative research.

Benefits of Narrative Inquiry

Narrative inquiry is a unique approach to collecting relevant and required information based on a given element. The consideration of using narrative theory proves it is a type of research, with vast benefits. Narrative inquiries are effective perspectives of collecting information, translating and interpreting to yield meaningful results. This is based on the numerous benefits linked to narrative inquiry. The first benefit is the flexible nature of narrative research (Clandinin, 2016). The benefit is essential as it serves as a theoretical tool of using sociological approaches to develop definitive strategies of exploring concerns. The benefit of flexibility is also realized in the crisscrossing element of narrative inquiry in the exploration of inconsistencies.

The second benefit is the dynamism of narrative inquiry. The process of translating and interpreting different perspectives are simplified by the use of the dynamic element of narrative inquiry. The theory is easily adaptable to changes in time and space. The benefit is also realized in addressing the various complexities linked to extracting meaningful information (Samah, 2016). The other benefit of narrative inquiry is its applicability in real-life individuals. narrative inquiry is applicable in interpreting individuals, as it uses theoretical abstractions, as it has an element of standing on its own when it comes to the recognition of subjectivity while undertaking research. Hence, the benefits of narrative inquiry prove its effectiveness in research.

Limitations and Challenges of Narrative Inquiry

A number of claims have been developed based on the usefulness of narrative inquiry. It has been deemed to be the most effective method to pursue research based on an individual. Nonetheless, a narrative inquiry has associated limitations and challenges. The first limitation as a research method is the lack of narrative recognition. Some of the narrative inquiries lack the necessary cognition, which is essential in the logical definition of proportions and the effective progression of a narrative. The absence of paradigmatic cognition leads to the challenge of understanding a simulation linked to a narrative.

The second limitation is the absence of active data to support the conclusions reached in a narrative. In most of the cases, the essence of narratives is applied in structured interviews. In some cases, individuals fail to offer active data, which would otherwise be used to construct meaningful conclusions (O'Toole, 2018). This leads to the emergence of a challenge of wrong tracks in narrative inquiry. The absence of narrative activeness is a limitation affecting the reputation attached to narrative inquiry. Interconnectedness is a challenge caused by the informants’ failure to emphasize on their references. The last limitation linked to the use of narrative inquiry is the fact that it lacks a strategy of making an individual’s data to be accessible.

Brief Overview of an Interesting Topic

There is a wide range of topic, which is interesting to me. The only difference is in the essence and use of the findings relating to the selected topics. In this case, the most appealing topic is the investigation of the association between the diet and depression, that is an undertaking a qualitative study on How Mediterranean diet is useful in lowering the levels of depression. One of the aspects advocated is adhering to a given health diet. The Mediterranean diet is a useful component in health as it promotes inflammations, based on the manners the diets are prepared. The diets lilac sugary products, an element associated with reducing the risks of depression. The reliance on a healthy diet is essential in improving an individual’s mental and physical health.

According to research undertaken by medical expatriates, there is a cure for patients with high depressive levels. The cure is based on the reliance on Mediterranean diets. Patients with severe depressive levels, and particularly those with depressive disorders, can have their health conditions reverse if only the heed to the advice of reliance on Mediterranean diets (Kretowicz, Hundley, & Tsofliou, 2018). The best aspect of the diets is that they have a wide range of ingredients. They are rich in vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, and whole grains. The feeding on such diets guarantees the improvement of depressive symptoms and moods. Therefore, there is a direct association between diets and depressive levels after relying on Mediterranean diets.
