Having a No-deal exit would immensely affect the island of Ireland's economy negatively, thus, he said that in the case of no-deal, Ireland would have to find an alternative to protect its own place in the EU single market. This is because the island of Ireland’s economy significantly relies on the deal in the EU single market. This means that in the case of UK’s no-deal withdrawal, the island of Ireland will have to look for a way of retaining its position the EU’s single market.
The EU plans to renegotiate the deal with the incoming prime minister to divert from the no-deal exit plan. This will ensure that the UK has a backstop insurance plan for the sake of business. This is even as the MPs have dropped the Brexit plan in the past.
Tory rebels send stark warning to Boris Johnson over no-deal Brexit Summary
In this article, Tory rebels warn the incoming prime minister of the planned parliament suspension to actualize the no-deal exit plan. The plan has been successfully opposed three times in the past by rebel MPs, which brings about the issue of parliament suspension. There has been speculation that for the no-deal motion to pass, the parliament has to be on the suspension to avoid the repeat of the vote.
Among the ministers who did not vote for the no-deal withdrawal plan was Philip Hammond. He warned the next premier that they would be on the forefront in ensuring that withdrawal with the no-deal plan does not pass.
If the MPS do not support the strategy agreed by the EU and UK, the, no-deal will be a default way out. With the deadline of October 31st, the both premier contenders have expressed their interest in exiting on that date and renegotiate a deal with the EU. However, Mr Hunt and Mr Johnson say that they will have to put the no-deal on the table to strengthen their negotiation.
