Moralistic Therapeutic Deism is a religion guided by five particular beliefs which are observed by its members, who are mostly teenagers. They believe that the world was created by a god who watches over them. They have high regard to being good and fair to one another. They also believe that life is all about feeling good about oneself. They also believe that God lets them live their lives and only gets involved when needed. Finally, all good people eventually go to heaven after their death. (“What is Moralistic Therapeutic Deism (MTD)?” 2018)

The Sacred/Secular Divide has no specific definition, but it is a view that portrays life as built on a division between things and people regarded to be holy and those regarded to be worldly. Churches and missionary centers are regarded as places that are sacred while buildings like business offices and homes are not. This division affects lives and is based on our thinking. It is not abstract and only makes sense to those who believe in it.

Worship has different meanings to people. For some, it is the service conducted in church while others believe it is the act of singing and praying. To fully define worship, therefore, requires one to understand the most important element of the biblical worldview which portrays God as a real person who can be known through constant personal relationship. Therefore, to have an interaction with God will require one to live a life that is focused on serving Him.

The gospel has a significant impact on one’s life. It transforms the soul. The power of the gospel affects our thoughts, emotions and decisions. Once an individual receives the gospel, his life is also transformed. He will take care of his body, which is the temple of God and make good use of his time, therefore, improving his personal life. It also transforms the culture around the individual through better interaction with neighbors, high regard for marriage and work.
