How to Write a Personal Creed

I am a motivated Pastor of Greater Israel Baptist Church. 

I am a committed and dedicated student at Campbellsville University, undertaking a bachelor’s degree in theology. 

I am intelligent, creative, persistent, and always eager to make my place better in the world. 

I believe my destiny lies in my hands and I possess the power to make my life count. 

I am motivated to keep moving forward to meet my tomorrow with a lot of confidence through hard work. 

I will thrive on being great, setting an excellent example for my peers. 

I value education and believe that it is my only ticket to achieve a better tomorrow. 

I strongly hope to succeed in being more generous in life. 

I respect myself and other people’s life. 

Before making judgments, I will always give a listening ear to both sides. 

I believe that love is a factor that can overcome hate, kindness can break barriers to success, and that people should always strive to leave the world in a better state than they found it. 

I believe in respecting fellow human beings to rejoice together in our blessing and reach out to the poor and the powerless. 

I believe in the power and magic we find in the written word of God in the biblical scriptures, the comfort we get from being together with our friends and family members, and the satisfaction that is coming from hard work. 

I believe that our life is a miracle and that every sunrise comes with an opportunity for a new beginning. 

My daily objectives include: to love more and often laugh; win intelligent person’s respect and children’s affection; to earn honest people’s approbation and endure the betrayal of false friends; to always appreciate beauty from either a healthy child, garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to play and laugh with enthusiasm and sing with exultation; to know that at least one life has breathed easier because of my presence. 

These lead to success.
