Introduction

Many people question the foundation of Christian life, such as whether it emanates from Church participation, Bible reading, or the belief that Jesus is the son of God. The basis for Christian life is having faith in Christ. Faith serves as the fundamental loyalty that allows people to have a direction and purpose in life. The Christian faith prepares people to live according to God’s will as discovered particularly in Jesus Christ. People do not just develop the faith overnight. Starting from birth until death, the faith in individuals is ever growing. They face vicissitudes and sometimes stall during the journey. However, little by little, many persons end up deepening the relationship they have with God. The growth in faith partly serves as a gift. By taking part in community faith and opening up to the love of God, they receive splendid treasure. Nonetheless, faith is also the choice that people make, which usually entails deciding putting God and His reign first in their lives, irrespective of the costs. It is not appropriate to say that some people are “behind” in their faith and that others are “ahead” since faith is not something that individuals possess in degrees. The journey to faith is sophisticated, distinct for every traveler, and involves numerous pathways (Koehler, 2019) . The paper discusses how the film “The Case for Christ” expresses the theme of faith in Christians’ lives.

Social Location and Description

The film “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel is an American Christina drama movie that revolves around true story with inspiration from a 1998 book of a similar name. The movie documents Lee Strobel’s life in line with his efforts of refuting Jesus’ resurrection. Strobel becomes frustrated with his wife’s newfound faith and deploys his journalistic and legal training in an effort to discredit Christianity claims. He travels across the entire United States where he confronts scientists, historians, and even the clergy (Messer, 2017) . After encountering unexpected outcomes face-to-face, Strobel realizes that faith might save his collapsing marriage and heal his individual distressed heart.

The handling of Jesus’ resurrection by scientific conversations occurs professionally. The film does not target forcing its perception regarding the world to the audience, while it features serious academics who offer educated answers to vital questions.
