Today I toured the university premises to assess the challenges that students living with disabilities experience. I visited various departments, such as the school's recreational center, the library, university leadership, and classes. After my tour, I concluded that the university should improve the accessibility for disabled individuals. I also plan to contact one of the school's staff members to address the issues I observed while touring the university.
Students living with disabilities face several accessibility challenges in the university. First, disabled individuals encounter attitudinal barriers that limit their access to services in school ( Dassah, Aldersey, McColl, & Davison, 2018). Moreover, disabled individuals experience visual and auditory communication barriers that exclude them from accessing school services. Further, disabled persons encounter physical obstacles, such as infrastructure that does not accommodate their locomotive devices. Besides, the university has policy barriers that deny disabled individuals the chance to engage in interactive activities. Finally, disabled students encounter transportation, pragmatic, and social restrictions that limit their accessibility to various amenities ( Olsen, 2018). Thus, disabled students experience diverse challenges while on university premises.

I aspire to talk to one of the university's leadership members on corrective actions that the school may undertake to improve disabled students' accessibility. I will suggest policies, such as creating a student leadership position for a disabled student to advocate for the rights of individuals living with disabilities. Additionally, the school could develop programs that socially include handicapped students ( Hästbacka, Nygård, & Nyqvist, 2016) . Moreover, the university’s management should design effective transportation systems to enhance students' movements living with disabilities ( Cherchas, 2014) . Finally, the school's management could reconstruct physical areas that challenge disabled students. Thus, the school could improve the experiences of disabled students.
My campus tour today revealed the challenges that students living with disabilities experience within the school's premises. Disabled students experience social, communication, transportation, and physical barriers. However, the university may implement policy changes to alleviate the sufferings of disabled students.
