Allegory is used in art to deliver an extensive meaning about what is happening around the world. Allegory has been used in all forms of art since it conveys complex concepts in an understandable manner to the listeners, viewers, and readers. Artists used actions, images, and events to give out complex meanings of things. The different forms of art bring out the spiritual, moral, and political significance. Many allegories use personification to deliver their intended meaning. Allegory in art was popular in the romantic era, and it gave people a chance to understand the political activities taking place around them unlike direct political art.
Direct political art does not tell a story, and it is easy for an individual to decipher the direct message being portrayed in the art (Katie R, 2020). This type of art is also not persuasive, for it does not give an individual room to come up with reasons why the art was developed. The meaning depicted in direct political art is not figuratively, thus making it less fascinating.

Allegorical political art is effective for it informed people of what was happening around them in the romantic era. At this time, most countries had no gained independence; for this reason, they used art to motivate people to fight for what was theirs. Artists like Jean Sibelius composed a nationalist song calling for the independence of Finland. This form of art is unique, for the artists used distinct instruments to play their music and convey their intended message.
