The role of a nurse manager involves the coordination of people with varying skills, personalities, and levels of education within the healthcare organization to provide safe and high-quality care. A nurse manager assumes responsibility for patient outcomes, financial management, staff performance, and resource utilization within a healthcare organization. Also, a nurse manager ensures that patient care is provided according to the organizational policy and the appropriate nursing standards by providing leadership, ensuring the nursing department runs smoothly, and by acting as a professional role model to their followers.
