I vote for Lakeisha Bourda’s proposition on bringing awareness on the value of water to the Ashfordton Community. Awareness would help educate the community on water as a critical aspect of survival and also help them gain insight into how the community could be wasting drinking water. It would then make it possible for the community to be open and easily identify strategies for sustainable water preservation and recycling. I opted for this plan because it presents the most appropriate first step in sustainable water preservation and recycling. Bensel & Carbone (2020) identify that there is immense ignorance on the importance of water especially for areas where this commodity is in plenty. Awareness would help the community open their eyes to the possibility of water being scarce and therefore start thinking of sustainable ways to produce clean drinking water, how to recycle waste water and how storm water can be utilized.
The second plan I vote for is Bourda’s green roof for storm water sustainability. It involves roofs covered with plants and vegetation to enable rainfall infiltration, reduce pollution and reduce energy costs. Shin & Kim (2019) identify the central role of green roofs in urban areas especially in reducing energy use and stormwater runoff. It is clear that the plan is not only limited to the benefits identified by Bourda but can also aid in storm water sustainability.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The third plan I vote for is Andrea Rall’s development of an educational program for our children on the importance of recycling and reducing water pollution. Cosgrove & Loucks (2015) recognize the prospective demand for water in the near future which calls for appropriate sustainability strategies. Having a young generation informed on the importance of water sustainability would ensure that water conservation and recycling is maintained and improved upon for generations to come.
