Authoritative parenting is consistent with balanced teenage growth and offers a balance between intimacy and encouragement and effective parental supervision in adolescent behavior regulation. This environment offers teenagers the ability to become self-reliant and to build a healthy sense of autonomy within a framework of parental boundaries, guidance, and laws ( Sokol et al, 2017) . This is the most appropriate parenting approach to help Josh change his behavior. The authoritarian parenting style is considered to be the safest parenting style for young children ( McKinney et al, 2018) . It encourages children to be more autonomous, and this parenting style allows parents to listen to and respect their children's viewpoints.

The short term effect of this parenting style to Josh is that he will Display more good behavior outside the home. This will shun away from the ADHD disorder that is leading him into problems while at school. This parenting style's long-term effect is that Josh would become more competitive in academic success, more interested in school events, and develop high self-esteem.

Teachers or other people who also interact with Josh's family will significantly make a big impact in his learning. When establishing a relationship with the family, the aim is to ensure that they are there to assist and encourage him in every way they can. The parent-teacher meeting at the beginning and end of the school year has little impact, maybe once a week or once a month face-to-face interaction with the family to collect more knowledge about the child's needs, the family's short-term and long-term aspirations for the child, and the family's past (Arifiyanti & Nurul, 2019). The teacher can find out what the family wants of him as their tutor and any ideas they may have to make their child learn better. The teacher can visit the family at home, in public locations like a park or a coffee shop, and reassure the parent that they matter a lot and can be contacted no matter the issue. Communication is critical because it is one aspect of family engagement that offers advantages for children, parents, and teachers.
