The line “Beauty is truth, truth beauty-that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know” means that humans need not to search for the meaning of life further than in art. The voice of the urn implies that through art, human knowledge is best communicated than other disciplines. Essentially there is no discipline that determines the truth other than art. The subject can communicate the truth of human experience. In other words, the implication of the concluding line is that in real life, human beings seek truth beyond imagination and towards the realms of religious experience. Art is and will continue to be beautiful even when time passes without struggling with daily reality. The line is a revelation of the quest of Keats, to understand the ideas of love, beauty, truth and identity.

The line describes Romanticism by exhibiting the characteristics of the 18 th to 19 th century intellectual orientation. While it summarizes the truth that the author sought throughout the poem, as evidenced in the previous lines, it describes the appreciation of the beauties of nature. Evidently, the urn depicted the human life in different perspective. The youth, religion and sacrifice are presented. While being represented on the urn, the various human aspects are intact. For instance, at some point Keats addresses the urn as a virgin bride of quietness. This represents the youthfulness in human beings.

The line bears an intellectual basis of truth and an emotional basis of beauty, which is characteristic of Romanticism. With the response, he extends the sensuous to the spiritual and passionate to the intellectual. A balance is stricken between real and ideal and art and life. It is there that the deep reality is found, in the balance.
