I have learned that everyone has a unique or particular personality style which has been achieved through a lifetime of experiences. Some people are expressive, analytics, reserved, shy, and reactive among others. It would be correct to say that after spending time with a particular group of people it would be predictable about how they will react to certain situations. Communication is a very important skill that enhances communication. Active listening involves listening carefully, and then rephrasing what one has just heard with an objective of drawing feelings of the person speaking.
Development of empathy towards others can be achieved through active listening, giving full attention and having an understanding attitude. Active listening involves careful listening where all senses are active, regarding the verbal and nonverbal communication of the other person. Putting full attention on the person observing, and not judging them, without disapproving or approving, without a consideration of what the person wants to say and not using our own experiences. In that way, one would be achieving a comprehensive technique ( Robbins & Hunsaker, 1989) .

I have learned a lot regarding my stress feeling which brings about undercurrents of bad feelings that I do not like to talk about. I have learned that I can form a feeling circle which will benefit me in the future through expressing what I am feeling. For instance, I would explain as to why I am stressed, mostly is due to the feeling of not being assisted. Bringing out the feeling brings out larger matters of discussion. It would work well for me since the group does not have to be interrupted with defensive answers.
