The music to be analyzed is ‘'Black Man Feeling to Party'' by Black Stalin. Regarding the social setting of the music, the performance is carried out in an open setting where the performer and his crew are on the stage and the audience on an open stadium. The natural, cultural setting of the music would be on one of the many African communities as depicted by the language used in the lyrics and the title of the music which is ‘'Black Man Feeling to Party.'' Regarding the function of the music, it is supposed to entertain and give the audience a sense of identity and cohesion.

The social organization of the performance is in such a way that the performer and his crew are on the stage while the audience is on the open crowd that extends from the stage. The interaction is enhanced by the performer's quest to involve the crowd using both verbal and non-verbal cues. In some instances, the performer asks the audience to sing along, and in others, he cheers them up to dance to the moves of the beats. Suppose the music was performed in the natural, cultural setting, the audience would be more engaged because they would resonate well with the local lyrics and musical instrumentation.

The ensemble set up consists of the lead performer, Black Stalin who is flanked with a host of drummers, guitarists, pianist, and a trumpeter. The ensemble also includes vocalists who assist the performer in some areas of the song. The instrumentation includes a combination of musical beats from drums, piano, trumpets, and guitars which are well coordinated.

Two important factors enhance the global nature of the music. First is the language used in the lyrics and secondly is the instrumentation. Other than the use of the vernacular African language, the music greatly utilizes the English language, especially in the chorus. The roots of the music are from Trinidad and Tobago, and it came to the United States because the music and lyrics address and resonate well with the black community which is a minority in the US. The music has also extended to other areas other than the US due to the same reason and also for its entertaining value.
