In the lives of women of color, people consider certain factors such as race, class, and gender. Society regards women of color as inferior, and this has led to their exploitation and persecution. It is clear from the article that people deprive women of color their freedom, and this made them powerless in the presence of their master. In examining their lives, the issue of race becomes crucial in understanding how an African and a white privilege differed. The story of Hagai serves as an example in exploiting how the races were a significant factor in understanding their lives. Sarai was a prominent person in her society, and Hagai, a slave who had no respect for her name. Since Hagai was an Egyptian, she becomes preferable to be a slave in the house of Abraham. Her ethical background become a reference for her slavery, and this gave Sarai more power to exploit her innocence

Class is a vital factor when analyzing the lives of women of color. A person's level links to material abundance. With plenty of it, one gained more respect and power from the community. The ability to bridge over memories on black slavery relies on the willingness of togetherness as of God. Respect should prevail in all settings, no matter the race and ethnicity of a person. It requires a deliberate effort from both groups to build a consistence relationship that will close the gap and heal the memories of pain. The issue of race and racism are crucial factors that require an in-depth interpretation of the bible. The bible aspect, according to the article, did not favor anyone in terms of groups according to race. In the Hebrew scriptures, it shows that society perceived people according to their nationality and tribes. God in the old testament also portrayed that the inferior is those that lack knowledge of salvation.

In the old testament text, it clearly illustrates that the black people participated in the Hebrew army. For example, the black Pharaoh was a member of the Egyptian dynasty. Besides, the old testament gives more text that indicated the dominance of Ethiopians who were wealthy and also members of the royal court. The interpretation of the bible has also portrayed that God was not pleased with individuals who considered other races as inferior. In the story of Moses, Aaron and Miriam ridiculed him for marrying a Cushite. According to them, marrying her was offensive because she was black. God was not pleased by the attitude of Aaron and Miriam. In his response, they were guilty, and they were legible for punishment.

The election in the old and new testament only members of the church could participate. It served as a symbol of universalism that was meant to serve all. Self-understanding was an aspect that helped in closing the gap between ethnic and racial differences. In the new testament, Paul advocated for a special election that was free from the racism that led to eternal life. The biblical aspect clearly shows that neither the old and new testament portrayed cases of racism. Its central mandate was to uphold the integrity of all racial groups and confirms that all persons of all nationalities are part of God's history of salvation.
