The discussion will focus on Bundy's family. The Bundy's family is from a television show called the Married…With Children . The Bundy family consists of Al Bundy as the father and husband, Margaret Wanker Bundy as the mother and the wife, Kelly Bundy as the sister and daughter, and Bud Franklin Bundy as the son and a brother. Al Bundy was born on November 7, 1948, and presently he is 71 years old. On the other side, Margaret Wanker Bundy, also known as the "Peg" was born on April 12, 1950, in Wanker County, Wisconsin, U.S. Margaret is now 70 years old. Kelly Bundy, on the other hand, was born November 27, 1971, and this means that she is currently 48 years old. Lastly, Franklin Bundy was born on January 22, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois, U.S, and this means that he is currently 46 years old. The family is presently living in a chaotic environment, with none of the members making any effort to rectify the situation.
Initial Contact
Marcy and Steven Rhoades are the Bundy's neighbor. These were the first people to report the matter. They made the initial contact to inform about the condition that was present within the family. They were also the people who set up the appointment between the Bundy's family and the support. From the family's point of view, there are various problems that they seek to sort out to reclaim a healthy life. The problem begins with the father and the husband Al Bundy to the last born in the family. Al Bundy was a footballer and thus recall such days in his life and painfully regret that the wife wasted his life. Al Bundy, therefore, blames her wife for his failure to use his potential and skills to make a better life for himself. The wife, on the other side, is lazy to the extent that she would prefer getting new cloth than washing the dirty ones. Their daughter Kelly has three main issues. She is stupid and Promiscuous. She also has a culture of blaming the family and feeling ashamed of the family. She does not like the family, and she expressed it openly in public. Only the last born Bud Bundy is considered intellectual and reasonable in the family. Therefore, the family suffers from a blame game, hate, laziness, and promiscuity.

The problem has been existing since the coupled was married and got children. For instance, Al Bundy claims that he was a footballer and therefore blame her wife for ruining his fortune in life. It may implicate that Al Bundy's problem was not there until he got married to Margret. For their daughter and son, the problem began when they realized the family could not adequately support them. It could be said that someone such Kelly did not well educated. The level of stupidity she possesses might have been inherited from the parents or not. She is not educated, and this could explain her emotion towards her family. Therefore, it could be well suggested that they have stayed with the problem sometimes. The family is consequently seeking help to find a way to join the jigsaw together and become string. Therefore, their focus is on behaviors change to bring unity and understanding.
In-session dynamics of the family
The family stays a medium house with a medium leaving room that has three seats. The house leaving room has a seven-seater coach with a small glass table in the middle. The room is a portrait; therefore, there is three seater-coach opposite each other. Also, there is a small coach opposite the television that is located in the leaving room's far end. Thus, the father is sitting on a single coach. The mother is sitting on the same chair that is opposite the three-seater couch. The son and the daughter are sitting on the big three-seater couch opposite the mother. The figure below depicts the sitting arrangement of the family members in the house.

While explaining themselves, watching each of these persons' verbal and non-verbal cues will be critical to understanding the degree of their emotions. The tone will be essential for each of them. Watching and understanding the tone which they use will be crucial in revealing the extent to which they are upset, bitter, sorry, or concerned with the situation the family is having. Also, watching their facial expression will communicate volume about their concerns with the matter at hand as well as their emotions concerning what they are explaining. The gestures they will be using, the positioning of their body, as well as their body movements and shifts will be critical during the conversation. Such nonverbal cues will be revealing their internal feeling, and this will be critical in understanding their problem and their concerns on the family matter.
The pattern of communication from these people will be enough to reveal their emotions. The hand gesture is likely to be used by Kelly and her father more often to express their feelings about the disappointment they have about the family members. Peg and her son are mostly to use facial expression either to show concern or a state of being unconcerned with the family matters. Since Peg is lazy, she is expected to demonstrate through facial expression, the feeling of being unconcerned. The son is expected to show the expression of a person who is concerned because of his intellect level. However, Al and her daughter should show more duration with their situation. All these will be observed from gestures, body movements, facial expressions, and also the tone they will be using.
The in-season behaviors will be critical, as they will assess the emotional level of each of the family members. They will also demonstrate or help in pinpointing the family members who are concerned with the matter and what they would like the situation to be after the matter is over. From the case, the family members suffer from a subconscious mind status. Despite living together, each of these family members has a problem that makes them see each other as not complete and helpful despite being together with them. It is because of the states of subconsciousness that make some of them, such as Kelly, go into strange behaviors such as promiscuity. It due to the same issue that creates a situation where these family members blame each other.
Theoretical Analysis
One of the critical factors that bring the conflict, in this case, is the intergeneration factors. Culture is one of the generation factors that are evident in the case. Kelly's promiscuity and recklessness do not matter to her as long as she is shaming her family. She ignores the extent to which the family is affected because promiscuity has less weight in her current generation culture as it was during the culture of her mother and father. Also, age is another generational factor in this case ( Dashorst et al., 2019). Al Bundy's blame on his potential failures is branded on the wife because, during his generation, the women were probably not seen in the same social status as they are seen in the present age.
The historical factor that can be linked to this case is the case of Kelly. Much is not known about Kelly's stupidity, whether it is inherited from the parents or it is acquired from her environment. Also, much is not known about her decision to engage in regular and uncontrolled sex as a way to shame the family. Such behaviors could be inherited or learned. Lastly, the fact that Kelly is not educated and the fact that Al Bundy did not succeed as a young person could also be tied to the current problem in the family.
In Bundy's family, there is a high degree of cognitive distortion. Al Bundy is suffering from the cognitive distortion called blaming. Al Bundy keeps on blaming his wife for all the wrong things that happened in his life, thereby acting as a barrier between him and success. On the other hand, there is also a fallacy of change as a cognitive distortion factor in this case. The fallacy of change is about relying on social control to gain cooperation from another person( Shickel et al., 2019). By involving in weird behaviors such as uncontrolled sex and openly denying and rejecting her family, Kelly thinks that such social shaming can help her control the family and make them understand the pain she is going through.
Laziness is one of the behaviors in this case. The mother is an excellent example of a lazy person whose laziness is bringing a problem to the family. Also, Kelly's behavior needs to be addressed because she shows a unique pattern that is not within the family. It is also evident that Al Bundy's unique culture of blaming the wife as the reason for his failure could bring in a change in his behaviors. Al Bundy could be aggressive towards the wife because of such resentment.
Treatment Strategy
Choosing psychodynamic therapy for this family could be critical in solving their problem. The psychodynamic therapy for the family will look into the individual's unconscious minds with an intent to reduce the problem by uncovering the underlying issues within the family ( Luyten, De Meulemeester&Fonagy, 2019). The advantage of using the psychodynamic therapy is the fact that it will be providing the individuals with the real reasons for strife, and this will help the family members deal with and work through their difficulties more successfully. Therefore, the treatment will aim to make each of these family members recognize their problem and understand how such strife is affecting the family. They will then be exposed to various corrective means to change the behaviors.
The first in-session will be to allow each individual to explain their issues, which they think they have, and those they believe the family members do that should change. The second step will be to allow each of the family members to give their view on the best ways they think they can break or the best ways they think their members should change. The last in-session will be to provide the final verdict. It will entail pinpointing each of the family member's problems and telling them the best ways they need to behave to change such behaviors.
Treatment Challenges
The only person who will have a secondary gain from maintaining the problem is the last born or Bud Bundy. Bundy has no much difficulty, and his intellectual capacity should have proven more in this family. He has less to change, but keeping his intellect could be critical for the family. Other than that, all the remaining trio must change their behaviors and problems for the betterment of the family. The family corporate for the entire therapy, and there is no use of resistance from any of them. Not much from this family resonate with mine, but the problem and disagreements are often present in most families. However, the idea of Al Bundy blaming his wife for his failure did look emotional to me.
