One of the most significant questions that everyone who deeply cares about planet earth and the unfathomable climate change related issues is ; is global warming not serious enough for the world to ignore its danger? Typically, global warming is an increase, over time, of the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and the oceans. This rise in global temperatures directly affects whether and hence, in the long run, dramatic unexpected weather changes are witnessed. There are a variety of influencing factors which are mainly as a result of human activities To be precise, global warming is caused by important factors such as the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, solid waste decomposition, and deforestation.

Concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is one of the most significant causes of global warming. Examples of such gases include methane, carbon dioxide nitrous oxide, water vapor and the ozone. The activities that are directly or indirectly related to the emission of these dangerous gases include large scale agricultural activities, industrialization, and electricity production among others. There are several effects that are as a result of these emissions. Devastating hurricanes is one of them. Climate change has a drastic effect on not only climatic factors such as rainfall but also wind. The effects on these two ensure occurrence of destructive hurricanes such as hurricane Katrina and Irma. Another main effect is the melting of glacial masses. This is due to the average rise of global temperatures due to the depletion of the ozone layer. Desertification of fertile areas is another effect of global warming that is triggered by greenhouse gases. As these gases influence climatic elements such as rainfall and temperature, some areas are bound to receive less rainfall and higher temperatures, conditions that favor desertification on lands that were previously productive.

Solid waste decomposition is another major cause of global warming. The process of decomposition produces one of the most notorious greenhouse gases, Methane. As a result, it directly contributes to the depletion of the ozone and hence, varied changes of climate in different regions in the world. Water, soil and air pollution is one of the major effects of such landfills. In most cases, they are not well managed and they could end up on unintended land, seas, rivers and oceans as well as end up in the air in minute forms or in form of the smell they produce. Another effect of this decomposition is forest fires. This is because in such landfills, there are bacterial activities which increase the average temperature therein and when such hotspots come into contact with methane, they could easily ignite. Also, landfills directly or indirectly lead to acute respiratory infections, intestinal parasitosis, diarrhea, dengue and malaria among the main ones. This is because such untreated waste could carry infectious bacteria such as those that cause diarrhea. They could also be the best places for holding stagnant water and hence the breading places for mosquitoes.

Deforestation is another leading cause of global warming. Clearing of forests ensures that there is no balance in the circulation of carbon dioxide which is one of the most significant greenhouse gases, hence, causing climate change. Deforestation causes Soil destruction due to erosion as the soil remains loose when vegetation is cleared, hence it becomes susceptible to be carried away by agents of erosion such as wind and rain. The loss of wildlife habitat is another effect of deforestation. Forests are home of millions of both small and large animals. Deforestation is likely to change such habitats significantly. The loss of biodiversity is also eminent when forests are cleared since certain plants and animals are bound to be extinct.

In conclusion, global warming is as a result of undertakings such as deforestation, factors such as greenhouse gases emissions and decomposition of solid waste. The above have devastating effects such as the occurrence of destructive hurricanes, pollution, health related hazards and destruction of biodiversity among others,
