Built in 1656, Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte is a French Baroque. The building was built using the Baroque decorative architectural designs specifically for Nicolas Fouquet who was the superintendent of finance under the reign of King Loius XIV. Baroque architecture takes the basic elements of renaissance which includes domes thereby enhancing decoration and elegance. Acording to Google (n.d.), the front view of the building is wonderfully constructed.
Time It Was Built
Firstly, Nicolas Fouquet purchased the land in 1941. When he became the king , he commissioned the construction of the building in 1656. The construction process employed over 18,000 workers at a cost of 16 million livres. The construction of the building ended in 1661.

Nicolas Fouquet was the originator who had the idea of building Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte because he was the King. He then contracted Louis Le Vau as lead artichetct, Andre Le Notre and Charles Le Brun as the painter decorators.
