Through the art of painting, human imagination is brought to life. Nothing explains this well than the Chinese landscape painting. The traditional Chinese attitude towards visual art is admirable. It has made it possible to come up with pictorial representation capable of expressing norm that exists just as in the natural form. In fact, when it comes to the art of landscape painting, the Chinese have mastered the language of visual symbols that can only be described as genius. Mostly, the Chinese landscape painting appeals to me because the artwork involves imagination, and the landscapes are idealized. The painters rely purely on their ability to imagine, in order to bring forth a unique piece of art. Actually, the landscape paintings, which mostly depict mountains, are spiritually inclined. Chinese people associate mountains with religion. For that reason, the landscape paintings that feature mountains are seen as good for the soul. My interest in painters emanates from the fact that armed with a paper, brush, and ink; they can pass a message to millions of people across the world. One such painter is Huang Gongwang, who did one of the greatest Chinese art masterpieces ‘Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains’.
Joining an art club is a goal I have to achieve. It will enable me to meet new people, and improve on my creativity. Painting together will open up my mind, and I might end up grasping new skills. A club will offer a chance to compete with fellow painters, and an opportunity to be criticized. The platform will be helpful in expanding my knowledge on using the different brush strokes in order to come up with a quality piece of painting. I will use the club to share my experience with my fellow artists, especially on Chinese landscape painting. The club will provide a platform to gain artistic ideas on other places such as India and Great Britain.
