In our modern and ever-changing society, personal encounters tend to build up over time and in most cases makes life hard to deal with over time. All individuals have their unique perspective on how to handle the harsh environment and the encounters that can mostly be seen as feelings such as resentment, anxiety and even guilt. Thus, those that have adverse experiences in life go to seek the aid of counselors so that they can understand and address the cause of their predicaments. Therefore, Christian counselors are advised to carry out extensive research and come up with counseling model which is in line with their education standards and the religious beliefs (MacMinn, 2014).

Christians tend to apply the technic of using prayer and faith during therapy sessions. In that, spirituality is considered to be a practical approach regardless of whether a person is a believer or not. Christianity applies the cognitive behavioral therapy as a foundation for the implementation of spiritual concepts into the sessions (Garzon, 2005). Christianity believes in the importance of developing the understanding and trust between the patient and counselor before even beginning the treatment. They apply the strategic method of implementing the healing power of faith so that they can serve the humankind. Christian therapy entails discerning how the Bible messages are used to our work since it has outstanding diverse aspects hence the need to learn how to apply scriptures in psychological treatment.

To sum up, scriptures can be used to comfort and provoke the counselee which is the vital aspect of most counseling strategy since the whole idea is to encourage and comfort those who are in pain. As such, Christian therapy helps in provoking those who seek counseling to grow in areas where they seem to be trapped (Williams, 2008). Therefore, in every challenge, the Scripture is intense in its help and guidance for both the believers and non-believers since it provides hope for the hopeless.
