Christian Core Beliefs and Purpose of Education

The Christian philosophy revolves two key foundations, including man’s nature and truth’s nature. Man’s nature revolves around the idea that man is associated with sin while all men require intermediaries between them and God to provide them with an avenue of going to heaven. Genesis 3:1-6 stipulates that men became sinners with Satan’s temptation in the Garden of Eden. With the sinning of Adam, all men are usually born sinners. Whereas the position of man’s nature is dreary, hope still prevails. Regarding truth’s nature lies in Jesus Christ alone (Mississippi College, 2018) . John 14:6 reveals that Christ serves as the only way of saving man from sin and realize acceptance in heaven. God provided humans with the Bible as a means of understanding the truth and a means of being saved. Christ carries all the knowledge and understanding (BJU Press, 2019) . In the event of education, it needs to realize than man is a sinner while he needs Jesus Christ as his savior.

Education’s purpose entails two distinct entities, including God as well as man. When it comes to a Christian school, it needs to ensure that it glorifies ad honors God in the difference activities it undertakes. In the perspective of 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the Bible needs to serve as the primary foundation of all the standards and philosophies that schools follow. A Christian school needs to make sure that it subjects itself to Christ while striving to direct love for God in its entirety. A school should focus on pleasing God in line with making sure that it has positive influence toward the society. God expects that Christians ensure that they reach out to the people surrounding them while showing them love. They should refrain from offering them in any manner to ensure that they remain blameless when the community is offering testimony. Overall, a Christian school needs to ensure that it lays major emphasis in refraining from offending Christians while offering services to men (McMahon, 2018) . In the event of education, it should ensure to honor and love God first prior to serving and loving fellow men.

Education’s scope is mostly intellectual although it also features the entire student’s personality.

A student serves as the first crucial piece within a classroom environment. Students usually require knowledge while at the same time desiring to acquire knowledge since they are unique people that God creates for a specific purpose. 1 Corinthians 6:20 reveals that students are required to make sure that they strive to glorify and honor God while focusing on becoming adequately motivated and qualified for the services that they would deliver in the future. With a unified church, it becomes possible to follow all the things that Christ taught as opposed to the world. The church is responsible for evangelizing disciples, the lost and Christian members (McMahon, 2018) . In this sense, the church has branched out severally to offering academic training through establishing the Christian school.

Christians regard a Christian school as playing a crucial role in the curriculum. It usually serves as an extension of the church and home meaning that the principles of the Bible determine the practices and philosophy that the school follows. The school can assist the church and the home through continuing modelling, teaching, and practicing Biblical actions and principles. The school also plays a critical role in safeguarding children during their early life stages from the harmful effects of the society (BJU Press, 2019) .
