Classroom management refers wide varieties of skillful techniques that are employed by academic instructors to help students get organized, focused, orderly and generally be academic productive. The paper will aim at expounding more on classroom management by the help of answering questions from a case study “The Bomb Threat.” 

What are the Immediate Problems Described in this Case Study? 

One of the evident problems that comes out from this case study is bullying. This is evident by the availability of a gang in the school referred to as Precinct Breakers, who had a notorious record of picking on week kids they did not like and harassing them. Another immediate problem is a lack of connection between the administration of the school and the students, the problem is portrayed by a student going the extend of writing a graffiti on the principals’ door.

Compare and Contrast Mr. Hamilton’s Problems with Jessie’s 

In comparison, Mr. Hamilton’s behavior broth him into problems with the school administration while Jessie’s behavior got him into problems with fellow students. To contrast, Mr. Hamilton was trustworthy with almost anyone while Jessie was not trusted for his words. 

Identify and Compare Personality problems of Both Mr. Hamilton and Jessie 

Some of the personality problems identified in this case study include; trustworthiness, reserved, honest and daring. Both Mr. Hamilton and Jessie had a daring personality, this can be evidenced when Mr. Hamilton never reported the student who drew a graffiti on the principal’s door. When a person is daring, they never seem to look at the outcome of their actions (Lane, 2014). Jessie on the other hand had threatened to blow off the gang that picked students in the school. 

Could Assertive Discipline Have Been use by Mr. Hamilton to Resolve the Problem He Faces? How? 

Yes, Mr. Hamilton could have applied assertive discipline to solve some of the problems he faces. He could have disciplined on the spot the student he found drawing a graffiti on the principal door. When assertive discipline is applied, students most of the time may fear to go on with their negative motives. He could use it on the gang on the school. 

Could Logical Consequences Model Have Been Have Been Employed by Mr. Hamilton to Aid Him in Making Decisions? How? 

Yes, he could employ the use of logical consequences model. He could do so by denying the students some of the privileges the students were enjoying such as being kind to them. Being tougher on the students would help them make the right decisions (Hammond, 2015). Therefor the model would be right for him to use. 

Is there Anything Inappropriate with Mr. Hamilton’s Desire to Be Well-liked? Explain. 

Yes, there are things inappropriate with his desire to be well-liked, this is because it made him not to perform some of the duties he supposed to perform as an instructor. He is supposed to report negative behaviors to the administration but because he wants to be liked, he overlooks some of the negative activities done by students. 

What would Mr. Hamilton Have Said When Jessie asked Him to Promise not to Say Anything? 

He could have invited Jessie to more personal conversations that would lead to him accepting for the matter to be talked to more people. 

What are the Steps that Mr. Hamilton Should Have Taken? 

He should have invited the assistance of the school counselors to counsel Jessie over his actions and help him forgive the gang members. 

Would it have Been Wise to Deal with the Precinct Breakers Separately from Jessie? 

It could be wise to deal with them separately from Jessie so us to here their other side of the story. 

What Should Mr. Hamilton Do So those Described in the Study Do not Occur Again? 

Mr. Hamilton should be stricter to the students and improve his discipline strategies so as to keep the students on the right course. 

What Would do if …? 

The Principal found out about the threats from another source and suspended Jessie? 

I would personally talk to the principal about the matter and convince him that it was a matter I was following on closely because of my likeness by the students, Jessie had revealed it to me and was making a close follow up which I would reveal to the principal later on. 

You Reported your Suspicion Only to Discover Later that Jessie Was Only an Innocent Victim? 

I would be sorry to Jessie but find out later the genesis of the whole matter. 

The Precinct Breakers Beat up Jessie? 

I would find out the whole gang in the school, and therefor urge the principal to discipline them according to the rules. 

Guidance and Counseling. 

I would stick to my lane and not fall up for being accused by the guidance counselor. 

A bomb was Actually found in the School? 

I would report the matter to the police and talk about the whole truth I knew.
