Communication is an essential part of any organization as it allows proper handling of tasks. Communication, especially during hiring and firing, is critical in that it communicates what is expected of an employee as they join the organization, or the factors contributing to the termination of an employment contract. Secondly, an employer is required to have legal and right reasons for firing an employee, to avoid accusations of personal grudges (Grote, 2016). It is advisable to have another employee as a witness in case of any legal issues arising from the termination. In conclusion, employers and managers are allowed to fire employees based on the right reasons, following a procedure for the termination. Unethical conduct and incompatibility with the company’s culture are some of the reasons for termination. A step by step guide is used during the actual termination to ensure a smooth running of the process, despite firing being a daunting task.
