One method of selecting competent employees who fit a specific role is by conducting a personality test as well as a psychometric test. The personality test ensures that the hiring manager is fully aware of the candidate's personality and how this employee can behave in specific situations within the company ( Greg & Kenneth, 2008) . The psychometric test analyzes a candidates ability to problem solve and how they can handle stressful situations. From the video, it can be concluded that the HR manager did not conduct a personality test before hiring the manager. The HR manager is shocked at how the salesperson is reacting to the news of him getting fired ( Supercoolcreative, 2013) . His surprise shows that he was not aware that the salesperson would respond in such a manner when confronted with a problematic situation or news.
The second conclusion that can be made from this video is that the HR manager did not consider how the employee fits into the organization. While hiring the salesperson, the HR manager must have only looked at how the employee fits in that sales role ( Greg & Kenneth, 2008) . The HR officer knew that the salesperson was excellent at his sales job, and that is why at the beginning of the video, he says that he has been in the company for several years. There were no complaints about how the salesperson was conducting his job. However, the salesperson did not generally fit into the organization's culture. Because the salesperson did not fit with the overall organizational values and culture, he engaged in multiple misconducts within the organization. Additionally, because he did not fit in with the company's culture, he does not apologize for his mistakes. Instead, he uses blackmail to get a salary increase and other benefits further.

A lesson that one can learn from this video is that HR managers should conduct thorough tests before hiring employees. This move is essential in determining whether or not an employee fits both the specified job and the organizational culture. Hiring employees who fit in with the corporate culture helps to reduce disciplinary issues and replacement costs.
