Religion

Mexico being a vast country, it has a population of almost one hundred and twenty million residents according to the national census that was conducted in twenty ten ( Lewis, 2017) . The country has five major religious groups. To begin with, there is the Roman Catholic Christianity, which is the most common. The Mexican Catholic Church is a branch of the worldwide Catholic churches that are led by the pope (Merrell, 2018). The country holds the largest Catholic Church in the world with ninety dioceses in eighteen different regions. Next, there are the Protestants who incorporate the Pentecostal, evangelical, and mainland. The Protestants are the second largest group, with about six percent of the population. Lastly, there are the non-believers such as atheists and skeptics, also seen with the Caucasians.

Caucasus is a country located in Russia. The region has numerous families and who speak different languages. The Caucasians, also known as the White Americans, are descendants of the Europeans. Similar to Mexicans, most of the county men practice Christianity (Hu, Tsay, Kuo & Wu, 2018). However, other religions are present in the state, such as Islam, Atheism, Jewish, and Buddhism.

Similar to Mexicans, Caucasians and Most Puerto Ricans are Christians. However, their practices are beliefs and rituals are often kept outside the boundaries of traditions of Christianity, since there are no official differences between the concepts, to them. However, Puerto Ricans give minute recognition to the influences of African and the Latin American power in their culture which is unlike for Mexicans and Caucasians ( Lewis, 2017) . There is rich respect paid to saints and their statues. Nevertheless, parts of the state still believe in miracles from saints, evil eyes, witchcraft, and healing from faith. In most Puerto Rican families, there are many religious artifacts which are placed amongst pictures of family members which are dissimilar to religious believers of Mexicans and Caucasians.

Diets

All three ethnic groups have traditional cuisines that define their culture. In the Mexican cookery, beans and corns are the most common ingredients because they are relatively cheap and they can be purchased in large portions, unlike the Puerto Rican meal requirements. Most of their staple food does not incorporate nachos, burritos, and tacos that have tons of toppings like other dishes of the Puerto Rican people. Legitimate Mexican dishes contain a lot of chilly, simple tacos and stews. According to ( Lewis, 2017) , Mexican dishes include a mixture of everything that could be found in the local grocery stores. It was also discovered that the Spanish conquerors introduced other dishes in the country, for example, wine, onions, garlic, and rice. Despite their many dishes, kidney beans were the primary sources of proteins for most families. The type of dishes served varies with the region. In some places, the everyday meal is fried chicken plus rice.

The foods in the Caucasus region are of different types. Their traditional dishes are mostly made up of cheese, whether smoked, rope-shaped, mild or juicy. In addition to that, other dishes that are common to the region include meat and cereals. Contrary to the Mexican and Puerto Rican delicacies, Caucasian dishes are prepared in the same way as the Mediterranean foods or the Persian cuisines (Merrell, 2018). The area also looks out for the meals of vegetarians since they have a lot of fresh produce ranging from pickled vegetables to freshly baked bread rice dishes and dairy products, a consideration that is not witnessed with the other ethnic groups. Just like the Mexicans, their starters include meat dishes with a lot of spices and vegetables.

Traditional Cuisines of the Puerto Ricans include the Mofongo, which is deep fried green bananas mashed together with onions, garlic, olive oil, and some seafood (Lewis, 2017). There is also Pernil, which is marinated pork, usually served on special occasions such as birthdays. Lastly, there is Arroz con grandules, a combination of peas, pork, and steamed rice prepared in the same pot, which is a very significant cuisine. The Puerto Rican dished are rooted in the European and African cultures. Their dishes are so tasty that they can be found in other countries too.

Health practices

In the Mexican lands, healthcare is provided by both public and private institutions unlike in Caucasus and Puerto Rico where the common institution are only the public health care institutions (Merrell, 2018). Private healthcare facilities in Mexico are run on a free market basis such that those who can afford it are the ones who use it. On the other hand, the federal government of Mexico funds the public hospitals.

There are unusual traditional health care practices of the Caucasians, ones that were completely unique from the two ethnic groups being compared to it. It was believed that the medical procedures were perceived to be safe and neutral, in that the type of cure used did not cause harm; neither was it beneficial ( Lewis, 2017) . Some of the health precautions and healing activities that were carried out include wearing holy medals, a blessing of the throat during the cold season, wearing a bag of camphor leaves to prevent flu, keeping the family bonds healthy and closing doors to the wardrobe to keep away evil spirits. Currently, there are public hospitals and the few private ones all over the region that have significantly reduced the use of traditional methods while saving a lot of people from dying or having complicated health problems, an effect common to the Puerto Rican and Mexican states.

The poor health statuses of Puerto Ricans are to be blamed on their traditions. Most of them still depend on their outdated method of curing diseases similar to the Caucasians. According to researchers, the residents use less of government health services because they are doubtful of scientific research, especially in the medical fields ( Lewis, 2017) . In addition to that, spiritual beliefs play an additive role in the depressing health status of the Puerto Ricans, because they over-rely on the spiritual healing even in situations where hospitals would be quicker and more comfortable. Of the three ethnic groups, Mexico presents a better reception to healthcare services.

Pains

One of the main setbacks to proper health care is the cultural indifference of the Mexicans and the health care systems. Most Mexicans treat their diseases traditionally using natural herbs, a method that is considered cheap (Merrell, 2018). However, this is disadvantageous to most of them since hospitals offer the best and safest medical procedures; hence, most succumb to their illnesses.

There are several setbacks to the modernized health system that hurts the Caucasian communities. For one, the ethnic groups believe in birth and death at their residences, causing the death of newborns or new mothers who fail to receive proper delivery services. Moving on, the Caucasians are more afraid of disabilities than death. Hence more of the people opt to murder than living as cripples ( Lewis, 2017) . Additionally, for people who are ill to receive treatment, they have to ask for blessings from the church. In a case where an individual is in a critical life situation, a person might pass away while following all those procedures.

Most Puerto Ricans express the sorrow in a loud manner, for example, through shouting. Herbal medicines are used in suppressing pain. Pain suppression is witnessed in the Puerto Ricans, and is absent in the Caucasians and Mexicans. Puerto Rican doctors do not ignore the expression of pain as it is usually behavioral in most residents (Merrell, 2018). Other ethnic groups do not give their victims medical attention when in pain, therefore giving the Puerto Ricans a forehand in dealing to pain.
