Brandenburg Concerto #2 by Bach

Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 by Johann Christian Bach in F major, BWV 1047 was an incredible performance. The genre of music at the concert was classical. The concerto featured four incredible instruments which were trumpets, violin, oboe, and recorder together with strings and continuo. The music was in high pitch due to the trumpets that were being used. The trumpet did not have valves as the current ones do; the valves were introduced in 1815. The timbre used on the trumpet was bright to create a lively setting. During this concerto, Bach used terraced dynamics, whereby volume levels shifted from soft to loud and back without gradual crescendos and decrescendos. The performance was approximately thirteen minutes with small note values that Bach reserved for slow tempos. One instrument’s entrance would overlap another’s last notes which made the concert amazing and changed the music industry.
