Copyright provision law provides a fair use principle, which states that the production of copyrights for specific works for educational purposes does not constitute copyright infringement. These policies act as a way of hampering creative access to equitable information for people. For example, the law limits the use of materials in class to serve specific interests for an educational program (Mann, 2015). This law indicates that students and other people dot have full access to materials. The use of the author’s article is limited for class use and to a limited extent making it difficult for people to have access to such materials. Based on this information, the limitation of this information shows that authors should not be owners of copyright.

Current copyright regulations have negative socio-economic impacts by imposing its effects on society. Such laws prevent people from using both businesses and individuals from making new use of existing works. The impact of this copyright regulations affect some companies especially technology-based organizations. Enormous technology provides social and economic benefits to the society, but the copyright rules act as intermediaries that offer resistance to such companies in achieving the expected benefits (Mann, 2015). The history of technological innovation reveals that policymakers must strike a balance between rights holders, companies, and companies that depend on the use of copyright-protected content. Copyright becomes a barrier to innovation because monopoly holders become a way through which such people try to become monopolies. Monopoly arises from the fact that people have limited opportunity to create future change by borrowing ideas from current knowledge without permission.
