This comes with a responsibility to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment through modelling safety practices and healthy routines. My aim is to provide a clean and healthy environment that satisfies each child’s needs.
I will provide a learning environment that is safe by making sure toys and materials are kept safely, not forgetting to keep away sharp objects the children can choke on. All cleaning detergents will be locked away in cabinets to ensure safety. Classrooms and playgrounds will be kept clean to prevent the children from contracting infections. Monitoring the children during playtime reduces the chances of getting injured.

I will provide a learning environment that is healthy by observing hygiene. Germs can be spread among children in my care, to prevent this, I will encourage hand washing among the children. I will wash my hands and wear gloves before and after handling food. I will help with changing diapers and wiping of noses, washing my hands after each exercise. I will ensure the toileting and diapering areas are healthy and clean, through regular sanitization.
I will make sure meals and snacks are healthy, teaching the children about healthy eating daily. I will have two lessons per week to focus on the same.
I will make sure rest time and area are cozy enough for when the children need to break away from all the activity. A good rest is important.
