Introduction 

The article titled Movin Up to the Middle is one of the articles that present exciting findings of how two boys who struggle through their lives in college. The article depicts critical issues that people are faced with during their timeline during their learning processes. Exploring such elements is necessary to understand the differences in cultures and help learners develop an interest in learning institutions. An analysis of the article shows that students in school face various issues that can affect their behaviors and overall academic performance. 

Synopsis 

The story commences with a description of the essential elements in the course of learning. It illustrates how the years between 10 - 15 are of vital importance, presenting various challenges for the learners in school. However, the students, especially in their first few weeks in school, are affected and have concerns over their belonging. The article reveals that middle school students are more comfortable during their learning process than the students in their early times. After a few weeks of stay in their new schools, the learners gain a sense of belonging such that they feel more involved in the institution. This is because the learners are involved in morning announcements, classroom technologies, lesson delivery, and other maintenance activities. These activities assure the learners with some sense of belonging, thus improving their concentration and lifestyle practices. However, they do not feel fully involved and satisfied with their learning facility.

During middle school, the learners are during their young adolescent ages. During these periods, both empathy and response are constructively developed for new students. For instance, when the learners do not speak the primary language in their new schools, they struggle with the issue and often lack a sense of belonging. They are curious and have natural egotism as young adolescents, thus having more compassion and develop relationships among individuals. During their development, the students raise their hands to answer questions, gain confidence, and hope to become better and have positive outcomes. The research argues that the students and parents become more connected, preparing for future school lives. Once the learners gain this hope, they become more enduring, striving to achieve better academic performance. However, they are faced with multiple challenges such that they need assurance that they will still be fine. The students require confirmation from parents, teachers, and their agemates since hope is described as oxygen to young adolescents. 

The article argues that young adolescents are in the process of building trust but struggle to control impulsive behaviors. These behaviors include sending text messages during class sessions, inappropriate noise-making practices, snide remarks, and other undesirable activities (Wormeli, 2011). These issues contribute to reduced sufficiency among themselves and inhibit their trust. The impulsive and immature behaviors can also affect their hop and academic performance, thus requiring assurance and constant hope from both parents and the tutors. 

Conclusion 

Through an analysis of the article, it is evident that students in school face various issues that can affect their behaviors and overall academic performance. The article reveals some of the struggles that the learners encounter and discusses some of the potential problems. These challenges are crucial and impair the academic performance of the learners. Additionally, they impair trust and hope for the learners, increasing their anxiety.
