Two African countries with a similar culture to that of the US

Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo are two typical countries with cultural diversity, which is similar to that of the US. Notably, higher diversity index is linked to the many tribal groups and languages existing in the two countries. The United States’ melting pot theory explains a similar diversity, which is associated with many opportunities and business prosperity.

Ideally, the cultural similarity in the three countries implies that change management can easily occur and the organizational transition is inevitable. There is effective communication within the organizations in a diverse culture; hence, determines the ease with which new strategies and performance appraisal can be implemented successfully. Consequently countries operating amidst diverse cultural backgrounds have higher success chances due to the underlying competence and know-how that help the human resources to translate challenging concepts into practical solutions.

Two African countries with different cultures from that of the US

However, Comoros and Rwanda are quite different from the US in terms of their national cultures, which depict less diversity. Actually, least diverse countries rarely prosper and are prone to genocides, especially those pioneered by the dominant groups. Evidently, the Hutu group slaughtered many Tutsi individuals in 1994 in what was later referred to as the Rwandan genocide. Notably, any organization that lacks cultural diversity in the global marketplace can neither precisely recognize its needs nor focus on the right things. Therefore, it is important for an organization operating in such a challenging cultural context to manage its diversity. Consequently, it will gain strategic advantage and singly tackle the many nationalities in the ever-changing intercultural business environment. For example, an organization based in the US must work virtually to counteract the pressures in either Comoros or Rwanda so as to be successful in the dynamic modern business environment.
