Collectivism is a major factor in the development of relationships between business in the Chinese, Mexican, and Saudi Arabian countries. The members of a firm usually exercise significant togetherness and have little regard for personal space. They demonstrate high regard for maintaining friendly relations to enhance business relationships. This practice is contrary to that in the US, where despite concern for maintaining a cohesive bond between workmates and business partners, the emphasis is on professional relationships. People in the US refrain from establishing close personal bonds and will feel offended when one attempts to invade their personal space.

The cultural value of time is significant in decision making approaches and individualism practices that may take place in global operations. Monochronic cultures identify the importance of doing one thing at a time maintaining order and sense of designating time for every action. On the other hand, polychronic cultures look into doing multiple things at a time. Though they can easily be distracted they are capable of managing the disruptions to easily change the plans accordingly. In the objective decision making, the individual only incorporates the use of hard facts as opposed to the subjective type that uses feelings and emotions. Individualism requires each member to undertake personal tasks though may allow significant cooperation among employees.

Nonverbal Behavior Differences
In any communication process, non-verbal behavior is integral to the relaying of messages from one individual to the next. Eye contact is significantly important in these cultures. Chinese see that direct eye contact between men or women as disrespectful. However, for both Mexicans and Saudi Arabians the practice is seen as aggressive for the men and flirtatious for individuals between different sexes. The same applies for proxemics, while it is okay for men to be close to one another during communication, it is prohibited for a similar practice between individuals of different sex. Chinese are significantly laid back and will incorporate few body movements or gestures during their speech. However, this is a common practice among men in Mexico and Saudi Arabia to show their dominance and power.
