The topic of the Internet of Things (IoT) is well described and three challenges concerning cybersecurity highlighted are data confidentiality, privacy, and trust. However, more explanation could have been given concerning the various loopholes through which the hackers can compromise a system. Securing IoT devices is a big challenge to many organizations and therefore, there is a need to know the smallest vulnerabilities that hackers can use. More explanation should be given concerning a wide range of devices connected to the system through a network that can be used to gain unauthorized access. IoT is about the connection of objects and devices of all types over the internet. Therefore, more explanation connected to cyber-security needs to be elaborated including risks such as weak authentication, lack of encryption, missing firmware updates, low processing power, and shared network access. Lastly, more research should be done on the various ways through which these problems of IoT security risks can be mitigated. Despite the fact that organizations may not be able to completely eliminate IoT threats, there are various methods that can be used to control them and these should be discussed in detail on this topic.
