In Saudi Arabia, Men are empowered and decided what is good for their families. A man can exercise his rights to increase his family by marrying up to four wives as longs as they can guarantee that they can ensure he treats all his wives equally. Women are supposed to be submissive to their husbands and take care of their children and husband.

In western culture, monogamy in marriage tends to protect women. Whereas in Saudi Arabia polygamy is viewed as a more equitable way of organizing relationships. In Western Culture, when divorcing women are the one who is accorded the custody of the children provided that they are in a position to take care of the children ( McCarthy, 2004) . In Saudi Arabia, Men have a total power of their families and when divorcing children stays with their father.

A gay family is a union between two men. In gay families, one-man act as a father of the sun and have to provide the maternal care and guidance to the children whereas the man is acting as the father take cares of the family ( Golombok, 2013) .
Western notion of a family means to feel secure, to have someone who you can count on, who shares your problems. But it also means to have respect for each other and responsibility. Gay families also share the same concept of family as the western notion.

In the movie, She’s the Man women are supposed to be in a womanly manner and perform their duties. In the movie, Viola Hastings prefers to play soccer which is mainly associated with men. The movie depicts that women and men have a different role to fulfill in the society and through a woman tries to do manly roles they will fail ( She is the man, ND) .
The notion that women are not supposed to do any activity that men undertake is absurd because Viola was able to bring victory to the team dominated by men when she scored in the game. It implies that what men can do women can do also.
